Good morning Holly and Hazel Class

I hope you all had a lovely weekend in the sun and had a chance to go out and observe the changes in our environment now that spring is here.

Today, we will be starting our new topic Creepy Crawly Calypso learning about different insects and their homes. Minibeasts will continue throughout this term linking to spring, growing and new life. Watch the PowerPoint about Minibeasts and afterwards, listen to the lovely Creepy Crawly Calypso song. As part of our creative activity today can you paint or draw some of your favourite insects.

In maths, we are going to be learning all about the number 9 all week. Watch the PowerPoint all about Number 9 and then complete the worksheet all about number 9. There is an extension challenge, how many ways can you make the number 9? Afterwards, we are going to practise our handwriting and with a minibeast pencil control activity to help with fine motor skills and pencil control development. It is also St David's Day today and I have added a PowerPoint all about this special day in Wales and included some colouring of a dragon and daffodils. Have fun.
