Happy World Book Day Holly and Hazel class.

Today is world book day and we are going to center are activities around World Book Day. We will also have another  World Book Day again next Thursday, so all the children returning can take place with lots more fun activities and a dress up day.

Firstly, watch the PowerPoint all about World Book Day and its history. Then listen to Mr Blake read the story of  'The Snail and the Whale' linking to our minibeast topic. Afterwards listen to the story again and find the rhyming words on each page to consolidate your learning of rhyme last term. Play the fun Traditional Tales and Rhymes quiz and see if you can guess the characters from the story. There are some lovely activities for you to try linking to World Book Day. Colour in and make your own book mark, colour in your book day bunting, have a book scavenger hunt or share a story reading star. In maths, there is a lovely Traditional Tales interactive game with a dice to move and count on to reach the end. Please remember to press start slide show and from the beginning to make these games interactive and more fun for your child.

Please can you also have a go at completing the London Youth Games Challenge this week. How many Ski jumps can you do in 30 seconds. Please see demonstration and adaptation for Nursery on Wednesdays whole school Dojo page.
We need your help! We are currently 2nd place out of all the primary schools in the Hillingdon borough, remember this is based on participation so give it a go and submit your scores, no matter how big or small your scores... IT COUNTS! :-) Use this link to submit your scores. Good Luck!
