Good morning Hazel and Holly class,
I hope you had a lovely day yesterday with all the World Book Day activities. You will not miss out, we will have another World Book Day next Thursday with lots of fun activities and a dress up day too.
Please have a go at the London Youth Challenge Ski Jumps if you have not already done so, as today is the last day. We are currently in 2nd place out of all the Hillingdon primary schools, it would be great to get first place. See the demonstration and links on Wednesday's school story and submit your answers. Thank you.
Today we will continue our mini beast topic, linked to all the areas of learning. Watch the fun minibeast PowerPoint, see if you can guess the insect. Remember to press start slide show and from the beginning to make it interactive and more fun for your child. Afterwards there are some optional insect colouring sheets to try one or all. I have also included a minibeast hunt to do over the next couple of days. Take your tick sheet and see what you can find in your garden or on a walk. Have fun!
Today, in maths can you complete the I Spy insect check and count activity practising your number formation. Try the challenge and have a go at the dot to dot, join the dots up to 2o to make an insect. In literacy, listen to a lovely story called 'The very quiet cricket by Eric Carle. In phonics, play the interactive initial sounds game, I have added some new sounds to challenge you. To end the day, I have added a fun day Friday insect dance and movement session for you all to enjoy, song links and videos below.
