Friday 29th January

The 2 pieces of work you need to submit today are:

1 -  Complete the end of term maths test on Area and Perimeter. Make sure that you complete the test for the Group that you are in - you should have received a message from Mrs Walsh to confirm your maths group. Complete the test independently.

2 -  PSHE: My ideal job or career research.

Please click on the links below to complete your end of topic test on either Area & Perimeter or Length & Perimeter.

Group 1:

Group 2:

Today you are reading the children's poem from the Victorian poet and author Robert Louis Stephenson called From a Railway Carriage (this is a hard word to spell!) Listen to Michael Rosen reciting it on the video, then answer the questions on the PowerPoint.  (Answers are included so no need to upload to Class Dojo.)  What else did Robert Lois Stevenson write? My favourite poem as a girl was The Lamplighter.

Your chill out Friday activity is to listen to the next two Chapters of Oliver Twist told by our guest reader. (No questions to answer, just enjoy the story. )

Think about your dream job or career.  (You recorded your thoughts on this in our lesson two weeks ago.) Research some facts about the job/ career using the following headings;

  • Job Title/ Profession
  • Job description/main duties
  • Qualifications needed to do the job
  • Salary

3 steps needed to achieve my dream job, e.g. work hard at school, get some relevant work experience, go to university/college, talk to my parents friend who does this job etc

Write your ideas on the sheet below or make your own template.

Please use today to catch up on all your purple Mash and Mathletics activities. WE will continue reading Pit Boys on Monday.
