Having been the first school in the London Borough of Hillingdon to achieve Enhanced Healthy Schools status, Warrender is now one of the first schools to be accredited with the new London Healthy Schools Bronze Award.
Healthy Schools at Warrender embraces a wide range of initiatives including:
Free Cycling Courses for adults
- Healthy eating - we work to ensure that children eat and drink healthily during the school day; read our policy here.
- Sport - we encourage children to take part in a wide range of activities, offered before, during and after school; find out more about clubs and sport at warrender
- Walk to school - we strive to get children walking to and from school, not just on Wednesdays, but every day; as an incentive for parents and carers, we have provided covered waiting areas outside the school in case of inclement weather.
- Cycling - in conjunction with TfL, we provide secure parking for bikes (and scooters) to encourage usage; we also run a successful training programme promoting skills and safety.
The council runs free courses for adults living in the borough. If you’re interested, please follow the link and book yourself on the course.
