Good morning Hazel and Holly class.
I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday learning about the firefighters as part of our topic.
Today in Literacy, Miss Taylor will be reading the story of 'The Snowman' linking to our Winter topic.
Have a think about some of the questions below while you are listening to the story and see if you can answer them at the end.
What did James dress the snowman in?
Why did James creep down in the middle of the night and what did he do?
What happened when James woke up the next morning?
Afterwards, listen to the music from the snowman and imagine yourself with the snowman and make your own picture letting the music guide your drawing. (music link below)
In Maths today, I have a lovely fun I Spy winter counting sheet with an answer sheet to write your answers on.
Today is normally our creative day in school. So we are going to get creative and make a firefighter hat and a badge. I have added some instructions and a picture of what to do. You might have to be creative if you do not have any cardboard but a cereal box is great to use for the hat.
Thursday is our dance and movement sessions. I have chosen a fun dance for the children to try and copy the moves to, it is called the Cha Cha Cha slide. This is a great song for their listening and coordination skills.
I have also included some new optional fun activities and colouring pages linking to our topic Winter and Fire services.
Please send pictures of the work you have completed via the Dojo portfolio and I can award Dojos for this. Please message me if you have any questions.
Have a fun day being creative and dancing.
