Good morning Hazel and Holly class,
I hope you had a lovely day yesterday listening to the story of 'The Invisible String' and got a chance to make a heart, send me your pictures of your work to earn 10 Dojos.
Today we will be making our Zoom calls and the show and tell topic this week is pets, linking with our topic vets and pets. I hope you all had a chance to draw a pet of yours or a relatives to show us and talk about in our Zoom call.
Thursday is our creative day at school and I would like you to represent music as art and make a drawing inspired by music as part of our Mental Health Week activities. I have included some lovely songs for you to choose from in the links below. Listen to the music and let it inspire your drawing and see what you create. In Literacy, I have a lovely story to share called 'In My Heart' inspired by our heart making yesterday and Mental Health Week. In maths, we will continue to look at number 8 with the Numberblocks. I have also included an activity for subitising of the number 8. Try our dance and movement session it is great fun and good for our mental wellbeing. There are also some mindfulness heart colouring pages in the optional activities for you all to enjoy!

Creative- Mental Health Week Activity - Links below
(A) Please close your eyes and listen to a song below. Next, listen to the song once more, this time whilst painting or drawing. You do not have to draw or paint an actual picture, it could be lines, swirls, dots, soft/hard/quick/slow brush strokes of all different colours. For example, if the music is going quickly you could do really quick lines, if the music is starting and stopping, you could draw some dots. What does your art piece look like at the end? Did you find this activity relaxing? You could compare your pictures by completing the activity by listening to a fast song or a slow song.

Dancing is so important and links with our Mental Health Week as it bolsters physical and mental health by helping to improve posture and flexibility, lift mood, and ease anxiety. It's also a fun activity that sharpens the mind, increases aerobic power and strength.

Each day we will continue to follow the school timetable including activities in Maths, English, Creative, and Physical for you to complete. Plus some optional fun additional activities.
Please note from now on the activities with (N2) in front of them are for the children going to Reception. These activities will extend their previous learning and are adapted for their age and stage of development. (N1) activities will be for the new children who will be staying in Nursery for another year. If there is an (A) against the activity this will be for all children to learn and enjoy.
