Tuesday 19th January

Good morning Hazel and Holly class,


Today, we are going to continue learning about the number 7 in maths to consolidate our learning yesterday. 

In phonics, we are going to look at the initial sounds of  'm,a,s'  and identify the correct items for each sound. In Literacy, I will read a lovely story about Charlie the Crow in the Snow, and afterwards we are going to make our own easy bird feeders. 


Can you all have a go at Londons Youth Games Challenges (speed bounce) How many times can you jump in 30 seconds and then submit them? It does not matter how many you do, it is about the more who participate in these events. Please represent and support Warrender School and Hillingdon Borough.


Physical Education - 0900 

(A) I hope you all had fun joining in  P.E with Joe Wicks, he will be live from 9.00 am every day. To access this go to P.E with Joe Wicks on YouTube. Alternatively, today is Dough Disco day and you can exercise to the songs below with your dough.

(A) Watch the PowerPoint of The activities of Number 7.

(N2) Practise writing number 7 on the sheet provided, using the rhyme to help you form your numbers correctly.

(A) Have a  go at the Ladybird counting game and then try the counting Bee game.

(N2) Complete the initial sounds worksheets for 's, a, m'.  You do not need to print these sheets you can point them out on the screen or write the correct ones on a sheet of paper.

(A) I will read a lovely story of Charlie the Crow in the Snow, linking with our topic winter and birds in the winter. 

Please have a think about some of the questions below whilst listening to the story and answer them at the end testing your memory and recall.

2, Why did Charlie think there were bits of cloud falling?

3. Who did Charlie and Squirrel wake up?

4. What games did Charlie and Squirrel play in the snow?

5. What did Squirrel do to make Charlie feel happy again?

(A)Today, we are going to look at how to make bird feeders for our garden getting it ready for the birds in winter. There are instructions and ideas for different types of feeders you can make, using recycling materials. The video shows using peanut butter but the recipe after shows using lard, so you can choose

(A) Make a paper plate Robin activity or colour in a Robin. 


Each day we will continue to follow the school timetable including activities in Maths, English, Creative, and Physical for you to complete. Plus some optional fun additional activities.


Please note from now activities with (N2) in front of them are for the children going to Reception. These activities will extend their previous learning and are adapted for their age and stage of development.  (N1) activities will be for the new children who will be staying in Nursery for another year. If there is an (A) against the activity this will be for all

children to learn and enjoy.
