Good morning! Happy Tuesday!

 

I look forward to seeing you all at our wellness zoom today between 10:00 - 10:30am depending on what group you are in. 

 

Well done for completing the activities yesterday and thank you for sending your work through.  Remember to check the class story for which two pieces of work I would you to send through. 

I have included your activities for today below. Today you will be doing a morning starter, English, Maths, Science and PE. I have also  included additional activities at the bottom of the page for you to complete if you have any extra time. 

 

If you have any questions about the activities please message me on Dojo. If you are doing any other activities at home, please send those through too!

PE:

Have you improved since week 3?

 

Warm up:

 

Play this game with someone in your house. Crab & Scorpion. Move into the position when someone shouts;

 

  • Scorpion – On all fours facing down
  • Crab – On all fours facing up

 

When someone shouts the word HEATWAVE you must lie on your backs waving legs and arms in the air until the next command is called.

 

  • Then complete dynamic stretches that I have shown you in PE lessons.

 

Challenge 1:

 

Complete the super sets 4 times through – Super sets should be completed for quality and not as quickly as possible. Super sets are a form of strength training!

 

 

Superset 1:

  • Jab cross knee x 10
  • Turkish get ups x5 (can you use an object as a weight)

 

Superset 2:

  • Plank jack x 10
  • Side lunge (cossack lunge) x 10 (alternative sides)

 

Superset 3:

  • Man on fire x 10
  • Ice skaters x 10 (each side)

How many floor thrusters can you do in 1 minute?

Additional Activities 

 

Purple Mash

I have set a story on Purple Mash for you to read a chapter a day and complete the quiz that goes with the chapter. As this book is 7 chapters, this book will continue in to next week. 

 

Bedrock 

If you haven't already, complete the first assessment so you can then be set reading activities. Please try to complete two activities a week that will automatically be set once you have completed each activity. 

 

Mathletics 

I have set daily activities on Mathletics for you. Throughout the week you have been set five activities but you only need to complete one per day.
