Good morning Hazel and Holly class.
I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday, trying out some of the winter activities.
Today in Literacy, I would like you to recap on rhyming words as this is an important stage to help with early reading. In the first video lesson, I will talk about rhyme and play a short game with you. Afterwards, try the next game on your own matching the rhyming words. As an extension have a go at making some of your own rhyming words and share them with an adult to earn Dojo points. There is an extra optional challenge sheet with different words if you want to try.
In Maths, we will continue to look at the number six to consolidate the children's learning to be able to subitise and match quantity to the number. Watch the PowerPoint the adventures of number 6 and then have a go at the number 6 worksheet.
Challenge -See if you can try and write the numbers 1 to 6 independently.
Choose from one of the two fun dice games to help consolidate their learning in counting and recognising the numbers from 1-6.
Tuesday is our Yoga and Dance sessions, I have included some of our favourite dance songs. The children enjoy copying the moves which encourages good listening and co-ordination. I have also attached a lovely 15 minute Cosmic Yoga winter-themed session which is great for stretching and relaxing. The children are able to follow and copy the moves which is great for their listening and attention skills.
Please send pictures of the work you have completed via the Dojo portfolio and I can award Dojos for this. Please message me if you have any questions.
Have a lovely Tuesday.
