Tuesday 12th January

Good morning Hazel and Holly class,

I hope you enjoyed the shape activities yesterday and managed to hunt for some shapes around the house. We will be making playdough today with Miss Taylor and taking part in Dough Disco. While your dough is cooling down you can take part in the maths and English activities today. Have fun.

(A)Watch the video of Miss Taylor showing you how to make playdough. Can you make some and take part in our Dough Disco activity today. I have added the recipe and some alternative recipes for you to try at home.  Dough Disco uses the playdough to strengthen hand and finger muscles for writing. I have included a list of the benefits of playdough in the Early Years below and how it links to many curriculum areas. You can keep your dough for up to a week in an airtight container in the fridge. Have fun.

Maths - Links below

(A) - Play the PowerPoint looking through the binoculars and guess the shape game.   Afterwards please trace around the simple basic shapes worksheet and name them.

Literacy-Links below

(A) I am going to be reading another rhyming story called Fox on a box to reinforce your learning of rhyme. See if you can write or makes some of your own rhyming strings.

Optional Activities - Links below

Each day we will continue to follow the school timetable including activities in Maths, English, Creative and Physical for you to complete. Plus some optional fun additional activities.

Please note from now activities with (N2) in front of them are for the children going to Reception. These activities will extend their previous learning and are adapted for their age and stage of development.  (N1) activities will be for the new children who will be staying in Nursery for another year. If there is an (A) against the activity this will be for all

children to learn and enjoy.

Please send pictures of the work you have completed via the Dojo portfolio and I can award Dojos for this. Please message me if you have any questions.
