Tuesday 9th February

The 2 pieces of work you need to submit today are:

 

1 - Please send videos/ pictures/ scores as evidence of completing PE 

 

2 - Computing, please submit on Purple Mash. 

English - 

 

1 - Watch Mrs Close's zoom lesson, where we are finishing Oliver Twist.  The PowerPoint shows Wednesday but we have moved the lesson forward to today. Please complete this lesson before our wellbeing zoom as I would like to discuss the ending with you. (You will ned a pen and paper to answer questions during the lesson. )

 

Spellings -

 

Complete the spelling activity set on Purple Mash, recapping all spellings from Spring 1 - Week 1. Spelling focus for today is below. 

 

 

Maths -  Group 1 & Group 2

 

 

 1 - Watch the video on Multiplying 4 by 2 digits, and complete the worksheets below. Don't forget to Tick & Fix your work. 

 

2 - Play the maths multiplication game 'Hit the button'. Keep working on your times tables. Can you;

  • Beat your score from last week?
  • Include another number?

 

Computing - 

 

Reply to the email task on Purple Mash. You have received an email from a stranger... What do you do?  Please submit this on Purple Mash. 

 

Complete the following EMOM (Every minute on the minute) challenge. Please send in a video / picture/ scores of you completing PE via class dojo

 

Warm up:

  • Option 1 - Jog on the spot for 2 minutes to warm up.
  • Option 2 – Play Simon Says with someone in your house, ‘Simon Says…
    • Perform a 3 point balance, 2 point balance, jumping air squat, v-sit, touch toes, jump as high as possible, spring on the spot, high knees, freeze.
  • Then complete dynamic stretches that I have shown you in PE lessons.

 

Challenge 1: Perform each exercise for 30 seconds then move straight into the next without a break;

 

  • Abdominal strength position
  • Arch hold
  • Bridge
  • Tiptoe balance
  • Inch worms

 

NOW REPEAT 3 TIMES.

 

Challenge 2: Record how many rounds you can complete in 15 minutes. You must complete 5 reps in each exercise before moving onto the next; Can you beat your score from Week 2?

 

Exercise 1 -   5 Sit ups

Exercise 2 – 5 Floor Thrusters

Exercise 3 -  5 Mountain climbers

Exercise 4 – 5 Star Jumps

Exercise 5 – Object move plank (move the object 5 times)

 

 

Additional challenge when completed – Can you beat your score from Week 2?

 

How many Turkish Get Ups can you do in 1 minute?
