The INTENT of our music curriculum is to ensure all children ASPIRE to develop their musical ability and appreciation of music!

It is our aim in music that all children:

• ACHIEVE by being able to sing tunefully within a group and some will be able to harmonise;
• Demonstrate RESPECT by having an understanding of world music and appreciate how significant composers influenced musical history
• Have a sense of PRIDE and ENJOYMENT when performing melodies on tuned instruments and rhythms on untuned instruments;
• INSPIRE others when composing their own compositions for performance;
• Feel SUPPORTED in their musical journey to progress in their own musical ability through the tracking of musical skills.
