The INTENT of our RE curriculum is to ensure all children ASPIRE to respect and value the right of people to hold differing beliefs, including those with no faith, and to cultivate understanding and respect in a society with a diversity of faiths.
It is our aim in RE that all children:
ACHIEVE knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other religions, principally Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism all of which are represented in Hillingdon
RESPECT the right of people to hold differing beliefs, including those with no faith, and combat prejudice
Take PRIDE in developing their personal learning and thinking skills pertinent to Religious Education
ENJOY learning from different world religions
INSPIRED to learn from different world religions and provide opportunities to explore and express their own responses and personal beliefs
Feel SUPPORTED as they undertake their own faith journey
