The INTENT of our music curriculum is to ensure all children ASPIRE to develop their musical ability and appreciation of music!
It is our aim in music that all children:
ACHIEVE by being able to sing tunefully within a group and some will be able to harmonise
Demonstrate RESPECT by having an understanding of world music and appreciate how significant composers influenced musical history.
Have a sense of PRIDE and ENJOYMENT when performing melodies on tuned instruments and rhythms on untuned instruments
INSPIRE others when composing their own compositions for performance
Feel SUPPORTED in their musical journey to progress in their own musical ability through the tracking of musical skills
