Geography

Unfortunately there is currently no video for todays Geography lesson due to technical difficulties.

For the next two weeks in Geography we will be working on a project to create a 3D map of Ruislip Manor. To achieve in this, we need to include the features we have learnt about in our Mapping topic so far such as human and physical features, a OS map key, aerial view and compass directions. All maps need to include Warrender school on them, but can go in any direction (e.g. Warrender school to Ruislip Manor Station OR Warrender school to the athletics track).

Your task this week is to create the 2D element of the map. Using a large piece of paper (I stuck four A4 pieces together), map out the roads and key landmarks on your map. Remember to include space for your key and perhaps even a compass. You can use any media you like to add to your map such as black card for the road and coloured blocks to highlight human features. Please see images below for examples of the outcome of todays work and the final project.
