Friday 5th

Friday 5th February 2021

Good Morning,

I hope that you have been making good use of the wellbeing and mindfulness activities this week.

Today, in English you have your spellings to do and you need to create a list about your dragon which you will be using next week. In maths, some problems linked to fractions. In topic work,  you are going to find out about Viking longhouses and there is an art activity linked to dragons.

Please upload your maths and English today.

Have a lovely weekend

Miss Spooner :)

English

Now that you have created your dragon, make a list which you will use next week of things you have to teach or do for your dragon. Here are some of my ideas to get you started (think about what you might need to do for a pet).

Spelling Test

Either use the worksheets below for your spelling test or listen to the audio of Miss Spooner reading your spellings like we do it in class. You will need to mark them yourself.

Miss Spooner's Group - gue and que words

Mrs Rogan's Group - homophones

Maths

Watch the video and see if you can solve the problems along with Miss Spooner (pencil and paper is all you need for that). Then afterwards see if you can solve the problems on the worksheet, there are 1, 2 and 3 star questions to try.

Topic - History - Viking Longhouses

Watch the video and write down to facts that you find out about the houses Vikings lived in. Why were they called longhouses?

Topic Art - Dragons

You have 2 tasks to choose from today (or you can do both). Templates and instructions are underneath.

Either draw a dragon's eye

or make a dragon (if you don't have a paper plate - use card or paper instead).
