Eco Board Design Competition
Over the last couple of weeks of the spring term our Eco Committee were busy designing an idea for our new Eco board to be created with bottle tops.
We decided to recycle bottle tops after learning that approximately 300 million tons of plastic is produced globally each year, with bottle tops amongst the top five biggest contributors to plastic pollution. the heavy duty plastic that bottle tops are made from can take many years to break down, wreaking havoc on our planet.
Mr Smith, Mrs Brown and Mr Wright chose a design to use. It was a very difficult choice as we had some fantastic designs sent in. Each one included a very important message about pollution, recycling, using less plastic, keeping our seas plastic free and saving our planet.
Our winning design is the main picture and we have added the other entries too below. Once again a fantastic effort and a huge well done!
Mrs Jary implemented the design on to the board over the summer. She would love to know how many bottle tops she used. Can you guess?
