Hope you are all doing well!
Please find attached some activities that we would have completed this Tuesday.
Feel free to send pictures of the work you have completed and I can award Dojos for this. Please Dojo me if you have any questions.
I hope you have a lovely day,
Today we are focusing on Stickman. Can you retell the Stickman story to your grown up? You could make your own characters as props to retell the story. You could send a video of you retelling part of the story to me.
Please find attached a sequencing sheet. Please cut the pictures, stick them in the correct order and write some words/sentences linked to the picture. Remember to use your sounds to write words/sentences. E.g. Santu caym down the chimnee.
On your walk can you collect some sticks, leaves, flowers etc. and make your own Stickman or Stick family. Please make sure to send a picture to me via Dojo portfolio.
Please watch the virtual Phonics lesson by Mrs Morris of recapping set 1 sounds (single sounds and some special friends.) Please watch the virtual Phonics lesson by Miss O'Shea teaching a new set 2 sound. We will be modelling how to read and write words and sentences.
Can you practice your sounds and write some simple words? You could even go on a sound hunt around the house! Focus on some special friends that you may find tricky too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvMyssfAUx0 Listen to our Tricky Words song, can you write any tricky words down?
Can you play the game PhonicsPlay online? Which words are real or alien words? https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/resources/phase/2/picnic-on-pluto
You could practice writing sentences at home. Remember to use your sounds to write your sentence. Sing our sentence song to remember that we need a capital letter and full stop.
Please find the Phonics activity sheets attached.
Please can you draw a picture of your favourite part of the Stickman story on a laptop/tablet/computer. Think carefully about the detail and colours to include. You can sign into Purple Mash (I will send out login details) so that you can create a picture on here.
I have also attached some colouring sheets/ writing sheets for an extra activity, if you would like to complete it.
