Good morning Maple class!

Today you will be learning about how to count objects (up to 10/20) that cannot move. You need to carefully count each seaside object and write the total. If you would like to, you could estimate how many objects you think there are first and then count to check your answer. Were you close? Record your learning in your home learning book.

For your daily reading activity, you will be reading sentences linked to our topic, seasides. Try to use Fred in your head! You could have a look to see if you have any books linked to under the sea and read them with a grown up. I have also attached a suggested reading list (you may be able to find some of these stories online).

Also, your weekly writing task (draw a picture of a day at the seaside and use your sounds to write a sentence about it) has been uploaded to the 'weekly activities' on the Maple class page for you to complete sometime this week.
What daily activity will you complete from the topic grid today? Make sure to record what you have done (photographs, videos, pictures etc.) and you can send it through to me.

Also, your weekly spellings have been uploaded to the weekly activities section on our class page. What sound are you learning this week? What tricky words are you learning this week? Practice reading and writing words with that particular sound throughout the week. You could have a spelling test at home next Monday, if you would like to.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
