The INTENT of our Maths curriculum is to ensure all children ASPIRE to develop their mathematical skills to provide them with a foundation for understanding the world and develop their ability to reason mathematically!
It is our aim in Maths that all children:
ACHIEVE by demonstrating a secure understanding in key areas of mathematics such as number and shape
Demonstrate RESPECT for different approaches when problem solving
Have a sense of PRIDE and ENJOYMENT when exploring the beauty and power of mathematics
Be INSPIRED and persevere when solving more challenging mathematical problems
Feel SUPPORTED through the use of concrete materials and pictorial strategies in grasping mathematically concepts
