Good morning,

I hope you had a lovely weekend and are ready for another week of home learning. This week is also very important as it is Mental Health Week. Throughout the week, we will be completing a range of activities linked to expressing ourselves and also supporting our mental health, parents and children can get involved. You can find more information by clicking the 'children' tab then 'class pages' scroll to the bottom where you will find 'Warrender Well-being and Mental Health.' We have chosen one activity per day that you can complete, however please feel free to get involved with more!

Mental Health Daily Task:
Today for our expressing ourselves task, please listen to Miss O'Shea reading the story, The Dot. Can you create your very own dot? A circle template is attached below, however you could just draw it on paper. Maybe each family member could decorate their own dot. Do they all look the same? What is different? Why are they different? Share your pictures with Miss O'Shea or Mrs Morris.

Writing Task:
Today we will be focusing on a new Julia Donaldson story... The Snail and the Whale!

Please watch Mrs Morris reading The Snail and the Whale and explaining the writing task for today. For your task today, you will be writing about your favourite part of the story. Challenge yourself to use your sounds to write sentences. Remember the words do not need to be spelt completely correctly.  For example, 'I lighk wen the snayl meets the wel for the first tighm'(I like when the snail meets the whale for the first time.) Send your sentences to your teacher via Dojo.

Phonics:

Watch the virtual Phonics lessons by Mrs Morris and Miss O'Shea. Please send your teacher any writing that you do in your Phonics lesson. These lessons can be found on the 'daily phonics' star on the previous page.

Please click the link for some free E Books your child could read.

Creative:
Create a picture of the snail and the whale. Think carefully about the colours you would need to use and what size your characters would need to be. You could use crayons, paint, card, tissue paper, water colours, colouring pencils, anything you would like!

PE:
