Tuesday 5th January 2021
Good Morning,
I hope you enjoyed the first part of Beowulf yesterday, today we will read the second half and find out what the new danger is. We will also be doing some maths to help us practise our times tables.
Today would be our normal ICT and PE day so there is a Purple Mash ICT task to complete, linked to our new topic and some PE that you can do too.
Have a good day
Miss Spooner :)
English
Read and listen to the end of the story about Beowulf. There are questions to answer too but listen to the story first. The answers are on the last slide.
Maths
Today a few activities to practise your times tables.
Try the online activities to see how quickly you can recall your times table facts.
The Timed Table challenge changes the calculations each time you refresh the page.
The Table Spider challenge focusses on one table at a time but you can keep changing it.
Choose one of the Colour by Multiplication worksheets to do. (1 star or 2 star)
If you are up for a challenge, see how quickly you can complete the Ultimate Times Table Multiplication Challenge. (3 star)
Good Luck!
Topic - ICT/History -Anglo-Saxon Diet
On Purple Mash, there is a task for you to find out about what the Anglo-Saxon people ate and compare it to our modern day diet. Read the information and then sort the food into the two different lists.
PE Tabata Fitness Challenge
Look at the lesson to see what fitness tasks you have to do. The videos are there for you in case you aren't sure how to do any of them. Good luck and try your best. (Maybe challenge anyone else who is with you and able, to join in too!)
